Bicycle Works
About

My name is Chris Kopp and I am a Craftsman.  I create handcrafted bicycle frames one at a time for one rider at a time.  I can and will build what you want, not what the mainstream market thinks is cool this week.  There is no production line, nor do I have someone in a far away land that doesn’t know your name building frames that I merely put my name on.  I create rolling works of art by hand in my workshop in Denver, Colorado.

My experience has been growing for 25+ years.  My early training was in aircraft structure and I have worked along side some of the best fabricators in the business who have been kind enough to pass on their knowledge of the trade.  Over the years I've fabricated parts for airplanes, hot rods, land speed record holding snowmobiles, NHRA dragsters, AMA flat track motorcycles and historic race cars to name a few.  The bulk of my experience has come from 12 years building and fabricating parts for 240 MPH INDY cars…and yes, the team has won the Indianapolis 500 three times.  I’ve held welding certifications in chromoly tubing for aviation and race cars.  These experiences have enabled me to excel at creating something from nothing.

Oh, did I mention I'm a former Master Frame Builder for YETI Cylces?  And I've built over 2000 frames. I was an avid roadie prior to moving to Colorado.  Working for YETI allowed me to experience first hand the Mecca that is Colorado riding.  My roots and passion lie with road, cyclocross and track.

I offer two frame options. One is a full Made to Measure frame, crafted especially for you and your specific fit measurements. Or if you’re not quite ready for the full treatment you have the option of a Signature Series frame which has been built to what I think is the right tubing, geometry and ride for a specific size.

I have a high standard of accuracy and commitment to excellence.  I offer quality, craftsmanship, precision, and personal service, and I’m passionate about delivering a frame that will inspire you to be your best.

Your bike should be an extension of you, so it has to have soul.

Enjoy the ride,
Chris
