Bicycle Works
Process
When you come into my workshop, there are no “off the rack” production run frames.  Each frame is built one at a time, whether you choose a Signature Series frame or a Made to Measure frame. The Signature Series frame is designed and built for a wide range of riders.  The Made to Measure frame is built specifically for an individual rider.  Either way I handcraft each frame as if it were my own.

For a made to measure frame, the process begins with discussing your needs, riding style and material choice.  I have various methods for determining your proper fit and sizing needs, whether it comes from your own riding experience, a professional fit expert or a combination of the two.  I personally believe there is nothing more valuable than a proper fit.  I work with two Fit Specialists in the Denver metro area; both have years of experience fitting newbies to Pros.  Using flexibility, measurements, a fit cycle, and a computrainer, they are able to get you the fit that is right for you.  The cost for a professional fit is $150.  I will credit you the cost of the fit if you buy a complete bike from me.

I use the finest materials available to create the right frame for you to get the feel and ride you want.  There is no reason for a 110# woman to ride the same frame as a 175# man is there?  Along with your input I carefully choose the size, shape and thickness of tubing, the fixture is set to your specific numbers, the head tube and bottom bracket are machined to size.  I then miter the tubes, hand file the joints for an even tighter fit before deburring and washing the tubes one final time before I tack your tube set together and perform the final weld.  If you choose, I will notify you when your frame goes into the fixture so you can stop in and inspect the fit before welding.  There is no magic to it as my vast experience guides my eyes, hands and tools to create each frame.

If you're not ready for a Made to Measure frame, the Signature Series frame might be the better option for you.  I’ve designed a series of frames based on what I believe is the right tubing thickness and geometry to give the best ride.  The bike can be tailored to you by selecting the stem, seat post, and bars that best accommodate your style of riding and fit requirements.

Delivery, once I have received a 50% deposit, is about 2 weeks for a brush finish Titanium frame and about 4 weeks for a painted or powder coated frame. Powder coating or paint is done by Spectrum.

Feel free to call me with any questions, I'll be the one answering the phone.
